Product reviews
Products I have purchased and loved. I will still give details and star ratings though, as I'm sure they can still have faults or user preferences that I will be honest about.
I bought this mainly for grating cheese. I have bought many variations of cheese graters in pursuit of adding more easy efficiency to my cooking. Using a standard cheese grater is fine, but it's a very tedious process, especially when making something that needs a lot of cheese, such as mac and cheese. I tried a hand crank after seeing some videos with them in it, one like they use in Olive Garden. That one wouldn't crank super well, was hard to get good stabilization, and hurt my wrists. The most frustrating one however, was one I had seen advertised on Tiktok. It was one that suctioned to the countertop, giving you more stabilization, and then you would hand crank. I was so excited for my little upgrade...but it sucked. I really don't know if it was user error, or if this product just genuinely was trash, but I would not recommend. If you want an aesthetically pleasing grater, go for that one, I get it. However, I believe it's biggest issue was it being plastic. Mine had the blades straight up grinding the plastic of the grater into my cheese. It also didn't suction super well onto my counter, even after searching up videos on how to fix that or what could be going wrong (turns out others had my same issues). It probably would've grated smoother and quicker if it weren't grating into it's own plastic. That grater sadly had to be returned.
Grater Mixer Attachment
Summary review:
After trying different variations of graters, this one was like pure gold in comparison. It's fast, easy to assemble, and cuts through product effortlessly. You can change the speed, and the parts come apart for easy cleaning.
Detailed review:
This one met all my needs. I was ecstatic to have finally found a grater that was easy to use, fast, and assembled/disassembled without issue. Not everyone has a mixer, or a Kitchen Aid specifically, so get whatever works best for you! I do recommend getting one that is metal though. I know this was a long story of a review, but it was a long journey to find this perfect grater.
